Howcutt family reunion

Shearsby village hall - Saturday 14 June 2008

WHAT?  

• Opportunity for Howcutts and relatives of all ages to meet up. 
• Please bring along any pictures or other items of family interest that you have.
• The venue is the historic village of Shearsby, where many of our family lived between about 1600 and 1704.
• Please bring your own food for a shared meal. Shearsby does not have a shop but you can stock up at Lutterworth, Market Harborough or other places within the area.
• The hall has a modern kitchen and toilet facilities. 
• We will bring supplies of tea, coffee and soft drinks.  
• There is an attractive village green nearby, where children can play (their parents will be responsible for ensuring that they are supervised).

WHEN?

Saturday 14 June 2008, from 1.00 pm onwards (this is a later time than last year).  

We will leave the hall by 7.00 pm. You will then be welcome to proceed with us to a local pub for a bite to eat.

WHERE?

Village Hall, Church Lane, Shearsby, Leicestershire 

• The Hall is opposite the parish church, close to the junction of Church Lane and The Square.

• Shearsby is a short distance west of the A5099, about 6 miles north of Husbands Bosworth and 8 miles south of the centre of Leicester.
• From the M1, leave at Junction 20 and head east along the A4305 in the direction of Market Harborough. At Husbands Bosworth, turn left and follow the A5099 towards Leicester. The road to Shearsby is signposted and turns off to the left from the A5099.
• If you are travelling along the A14, turn off on to the A5099 and head north through Welford and Husbands Bosworth in the direction of Leicester. The road to Shearsby is signposted and turns off to the left from the A5099.

OUR MEETING POINT

We will meet at the Village Hall. It does not have a car park but there are a number of places within the village suitable for considerate kerbside parking.

Last year a total of 30 people enjoyed attending the first reunion. We hope that even more Howcutts and relatives of all ages will be able to come along this year.

There is no need to book but it would be helpful if you send an email to say if you will be there, so we have an idea of numbers.
